The Company

Founded in 2003, Butler Brothers is a family-owned, fully integrated design-build firm consisting of three separate companies: Butler Brothers Development LP, Butler Brothers Architecture LLC, and Butler Brothers Construction, Corp. Their strategy for each project encompasses the whole life cycle: they fully develop a design concept, find the right land opportunity, organize their investment vehicle, secure investors, obtain construction financing, manage construction, market the development, and sell the properties.

In the last 5 years, Butler Brothers has undertaken over $50M in projects. They currently are completing Regent’s Green, which is a $12M high-density home development located in Houston’s Museum District. Their newest project, Place des Vosges, in Houston’s Uptown/Post Oak district is a 17 unit, $25M high-end custom home development. After having invested in several of Butler Brothers’ projects, Gracchus Capital engaged the Butler Brothers to design and build a luxury townhome project within a master planned, mixed-use development located in central Austin. The Butler Brothers’ varied experience has enabled them to succeed with single home design to multi-million dollar mixed-use facilities.

Scott Butler, Partner

Scott has over 12 years of experience as an architectual designer. After majoring in Environmental Design at Texas A&M and achieving his Master of Architecture degree from the University of Houston, Scott worked on residential, retail, commercial, and master planned design projects for notable Houston architecture firms such as Page Southerland Page, Mirador Group, and Glassman Shoemake Maldonado. Scott was an integral member of the design team as he developed the master plan for the $300M Memorial Hospital/Sisters of Charity ambulatory care facility. He also worked with Randall Davis on the $27.5M renovation of the historic Rice Hotel, which included retail, residential lofts, and restaurant space. Scott worked with Mr. Davis again in the same capacity on the Metropolis Lofts, a new construction mid-rise condominium in Houston. He informally founded an architecture firm that specialized in restaurant and retail design, where he was hired to design the renovation for recognized Houston restaurants such as La Strada and Monica Pope’s “Tafia”. Other projects that benefitted from Scott’s creativity, knowledge, and skill include the $20M Research Forest Retail Center in the Woodlands and Rice University’s Brown Dormitories. Scott is unafraid to push the envelope with his designs, which is what gives Butler Brothers’ developments a strategic edge in the marketplace as well as addresses the clients’ hopes and needs in the homes.
